Renaissance Award, Bear River High School, California: What can you say about a team that superbly combines the technical aspects of a challenge with the artistic element usually seen in the more theatrical performances. This team used a gold approach and engineering with beautifully crafted hydraulics as well as exquisitely designed costumes and scenery portraying Native American culture. This team blew us away!

Renaissance Award, Rowland HS, California: A Renaissance is awarded for exceptional engineering and performance. Who could be more deserving than a team that ran a well oiled machine? Drilled, synchronized, choreographed, their solution required each team member to function flawlessly in order to sling their vehicle and rider around the course. One missed pull and the team would have “kicked the bucket”.
